Dan Lundy is an alumnus of the University of Miami, where he played on the 2001 National Championship Rose Bowl team.
Since then, Lundy founded 4th Down University (www.4thDownU.com), a special teams training and consultation group that has produced dozens of Division 1 kickers, punters, and long snappers. In recent years, some of Lundy’s students have been fortunate enough to make it to the NFL.
Cairo Santos (active Chicago Bears Kicker), Tommy Townsend (active KC Chiefs Punter), Chris Boswell (active Pittsburgh Steelers Kicker) are three recent notable NFL specialists who train with Coach Lundy. In his 19 years coaching, Lundy has helped to produce 84 All-Americans (55 NCAA and 29 High School), 3 Lou Groza Award winners, and 4 Ray Guy Award winners, given to the nation’s best collegiate kicker and punter respectively.
In 2016, Lundy founded the Kick It Forward Foundation 501(c)3 to offer free experiences for youth football players. As a result, Lundy partnered with Atlanta Falcons captain Ricardo Allen to establish the Ricardo Allen Football Camp (4thdownu.com/ra37camp), one of the largest free annual football camps in the nation hosted in Daytona Beach, FL each spring.
Currently, Lundy is a regular speaker for the American Football Coaches Association, Nike Coach Of The Year Clinics, Glazier Clinics, X&O Football Clinics, Teams Talk, TXHSFBChat, and the Florida Athletic Coaches Association.
