Ahmad Starks & Michael Carotenuto

Michael Carotenuto is a Sun Devil Alum, who graduated from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. He has been covering PAC-12 sports since his early days at ASU.  After graduating Michael, started covering college and high school sports, from the recruiting angel to see what players were coming into the conference.  He also covered NBA, NHL, and MLB seasons, and playoffs as an intern for Phoenix’s local NBC affiliate. Throughout his time as a student, intern, and professional, Michael’s passion for the PAC-12 has always been there, and his knowledge of the conference, will let you see why it’s “The Conference of Champions!”

Ahmad Starks is a recently retired professional basketball player. During his 3 seasons as an Oregon State Beaver from 2010-2013, he broke the all-time record for 3-pointers made. The Chicago native played his last collegiate season closer to home at the University of Illinois. After scoring close to 1300 points, he went on to play professionally in Sweden, Australia, China, Canada, Brazil and North Macedonia. Since retiring, Ahmad started a basketball training company working with kids and pros. Currently residing in Chicago, Ahmad still follows Pac-12 basketball as it was always one of his favorite conferences since he was a child.
