Mike McKenna is the current pregame, intermission, and post-game analyst for the Vegas Golden Knights. McKenna, a native of St. Louis, was drafted by the Nashville Predators in the sixth round of the 2002 NHL Draft. After playing four years of college hockey at St. Lawrence University and earning a bachelor’s degree in economics, Mike turned pro in 2005 with the ECHL’s Las Vegas Wranglers. He went on to enjoy a 14-year pro career where he suited up for nine different NHL teams and played for 14 different AHL clubs. Mike appeared in a total of 35 NHL games and is the AHL’s all-time winningest American-born goaltender with 231 victories. He was an ECHL All-Star in 2007, an AHL All-Star in 2016, and the recipient of the AHL’s 2017-18 President’s Award in recognition of his outstanding accomplishments. McKenna was named his team’s Man of the Year on four separate occasions for his community work and served on the Professional Hockey Players Association (PHPA) Executive Board for over a decade.
