This week our host Ariel Adams is joined by David Zaritsky of, to talk all things Bond and Watches. The start the show talking about the start of the “Gadget Watch” in the world of Cinema, the first digital watch that Bond wore, and more about the early watches worn by the Secret Agent.  They dive into David’s personal watch collection, his mindset as a collector when it comes to non-Bond related watches, and how Bond influenced him to change his life and to get into shape as an adult. They talk about the marketing, or lack there of, behind watches today, David’s first experiences with the Watch Community as opposed to the Bond Community, and what he noticed within the Watch Media space specifically. The two talk about the phrase “What Would James Bond Do?”, and how that impacts David’s decision making and thought process. Ariel also talks about how our personalities can be “vacuum cleaners” for the various pop culture that you have experienced throughout your life, and how it allows us to pick up bits and pieces here and there throughout society to attach to ourselves. Ariel also asks David what he would consider are some Bond fashion essentials that people who are trying to portray the character could embrace, and why David doesn’t necessarily wear items with a 007 logo.
