Dave Sims has been the voice of the Seattle Mariners as their television play-by-play announcer since 2007. In a long and illustrious career that began as a sportswriter for the New York Daily News, Dave has been involved with many different media forms. We fondly remember Dave from his time at 66 WFAN, an all-sports radio station in New York. Dave was paired with Ed Coleman for the midday show called The Coleman and the Soul Man, and it was incredible radio five days a week for almost four years. As a baseball announcer, Dave called two perfect games in one year, becoming the first broadcaster to perform that feat in the same Major League Baseball season.
Dan Bosworth aka Big Dan has taken his love of cooking barbecue and turned it into a career as the pitmaster and owner of Big Dan’s Barbecue in Catawissa, Pennsylvania. Dan is a proud member of the National Barbecue & Grilling Association (NBBQA). We talk about the Fall season at their family farm and how serving barbecue from a trailer at that farm has turned into a sit-down barbecue restaurant at that farm. Dave is also the co-host of the wonderful podcast, BBQ Happy Hour, https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/bbq-happy-hour/id1619130223 with his co-host, Mike Massiglia aka Messy Mike. More information on Dan can be found at https://www.bigdansbbq.com/home.html
We conclude the show in a very special way by debuting the new song, I Got The Worst Cold Turkey End of Baseball Blues from the musician, Dave Dresser and the poet, Shel Krakofsky. The song with video can be found here, https://youtu.be/t5JIT_y72-A
