Marc Zirogiannis reports from the 2022 Taekwondo Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, which took place on Friday August 19, 2022at the luxurious Grand Hyatt Regency in Jersey City, USA.
The Taekwondo Hall of Fame is the brainchild of Grandmaster Gerald Robbins. Grandmaster Robbins was a guest of Taekwondo Life Magazine back in March 2019. He explained how he conceived of a way to preserve and honor modern Taekwondo History in 1998 and how by 2006 the The Taekwondo Hall of Fame became a reality.
After a two year hiatus in inductions due to the Global Pandemic The Taekwondo Hall of Fame is back in 2022 to continue its mission of honoring the legends of the art and sport.
This year’s inductees included Grandmaster Yeon Hwan Park, the first US Olympic Coach for the United States; Grandmaster Dong Won Kang, the author of “How to Become a Grandmaster-Secrets of Life’s Success”; and Grandmaster Kim Se-hyeok, Korea’s winningest Olympic Coach.
