Seems like forever since our last show! Probably because the Leafs have only played 3 games! In between, we had the All Star break which wasn’t that exciting. We talk a bit about Miami Mitch and the Mascots, as well as what might be coming to TO in 2024 in our opener. Let’s just say we are hoping for an improved product!
Then, for GBU “light”, we look at what was good, bad or otherwise over this small sample size of games. It’s been a mixed bag to say the least! With the lack of games, and since we are coming up to trade deadline day, we thought we’d have a little fun and discuss some hypothetical trade possibilities involving the Leafs in a new segment called “Who Says No”. Tune in and let us know which one of us you think is on the money or out to lunch!
To wrap up the show, we take a trip through the NHL conferences and pick some teams that we are going to keep an eye on in the official second half. Will the deadline dealings of these teams help or hinder them? One of the teams we discuss could have a direct impact on the Leafs, so we’ll be paying attention. Can you guess which team?
The next segment of games sees the Leafs easing into the schedule, with hopefully a healed up AM34 rejoining the club. Then things ramp up with the Buds heading out on western swing for a set of games. We are more than ready to put the “dog days” behind us and enjoy the ramp up toward the playoffs. The next 2 weeks will hopefully deliver a couple of key ingredients. No doubt we’ll have our take on it. But in the meantime… GO Leafs GO!
